We're looking forward to seeing you at our Golf Day on Tuesday.

Here are the last minute joining instructions for the day...

Where?

The golf day is at The Belfry Hotel & Resort near Lichfield. Click here for directions on Google maps or use the postcode B76 9PR. We'll be based in the Sutton Suite for the day and playing the PGA National course.

Arrival Time

We'll be at the hotel and ready for registration from 10.30am. There will be tea and coffee and a bacon (or egg) roll waiting for you when you arrive.

You'll have time to use the driving range before we start, which is available to us until 1.00pm.

We'll be commencing with a shotgun start at 1.30pm, but will need to allow time to get to the course so please arrive by 12.30pm at the latest.

Food and Drink

As mentioned above we'll greet you with a bacon (or egg) roll and cup of tea or coffee. At the end of play we'll reconvene in the Sutton Suite for a three course dinner.

Buggy Hire

Buggies are available to hire at a cost of £50.00. Previously I told you that there was a discounted rate on pre-booked buggies. Unfortunately this was a miscommunication with The Belfry and I am sorry if you have already tried to reserve one and found it was more expensive that I'd quoted. If you would like to reserve one you can call the Golf Shop on 01675 238600 and pay for this directly to the hotel on the day.

Parking

The Belfry has a large car park, which is free to use.

Accommodation

The Belfry are offering some summer discounts at the moment. If you'd like to book a room at the hotel for the night please contact their reservations team on 01675 238600.

Golf Bags and Locker Room

Golf bags are not permitted in the hotel public areas or bedrooms, so The Belfry ask that you make use of their bag storage facility or alternatively store bags in cars until needed. They have stated that all guests will have full use of the locker rooms located at the Golf Heritage area.

DressCode

The Belfry have rules in place on dress code and etiquette, which they state must be adhered to at all times on the golf courses and putting green. These are:

  • No denim or jeans allowed. Trousers or tailored shorts only to be worn (no combat style trousers or shorts allowed) and all shirts must have a collar or a mock neck and must be worn tucked in (no round t-shirts permitted). Short socks are permitted with shorts.

  • Golf shoes are only permitted on The Brabazon, PGA National and Derby golf courses - spiked shoes are not allowed in any part of the resort with the exception of the Golf Centre including Sam's Clubhouse. Soft spikes may be worn throughout the resort.

We have use of the locker rooms located at the Golf Heritage area if you would like to change for dinner, although there is no expectation for you to do so.

Other questions?

If there's anything else you'd like to ask please get in touch with me. I won't be in the office before the day due to the bank holiday so won't be available by telephone but if you reply to this email I will be checking my inbox and will endeavour to reply before we set off on the morning.

I'm looking forward to seeing you there,
