Hello

In this month’s newsletter, we’re bringing you some insightful updates and a bit of festive cheer!

First up, we’ve got an article covering key points to consider around Inheritance Tax, including recent changes announced in the budget. If you’re thinking about inheritance planning, this is a must-read.

Our Accounting team also shares a unique update for business owners using double-cab pickup trucks. It’s niche but could be incredibly helpful if it applies to you or your business.

To help keep your accounts secure, we’re resharing our post on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This follows a recent attempted attack on a client’s account, so if you haven’t set up 2FA yet, now’s the time to learn how.

And in a bit of festive news, we’re thrilled to announce the winner of our Christmas card competition – thank you to everyone that entered!

Finally, we’d love to hear your stories! If you have an inspiring travel experience, a hobby you’re passionate about, or a cause you support, please get in touch with Jenny. Whether you’d like to write it yourself or want a hand putting it together, we’re excited to share it in an upcoming issue.

We hope you enjoy this edition, and as always, thank you for being a part of our community!

In this post we share the key points to be aware of when thinking about IHT.

What the April 2025 Double Cab Pick-Up Tax Change Means for You

Our Accounting Team has highlighted changes that may affect you as of April 2025 if you use double cab pick-up vehicles in the UK for business, potentially altering the way owners manage their fleets. Under these new rules, double cabs will no longer qualify as commercial vehicles for tax purposes. Instead, they’ll be taxed as cars, meaning that key tax reliefs and the lower Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) rates previously available will no longer apply.
