October Investment Update from Chesterton House

Last week Andy Jervis, Chairman at Chesterton House Financial Planning, met with Managing Director and Head of our Investment Committee, Richard Urwin to take a look back at the last few months and see how our client's portfolios have been performing against the turmoil caused by world events. We already had an investment update planned for you, but with so much going on out there in the wider world it's come at a good time and we hope that you find it reassuring. As we've seen over the last week or so things seem to be changing almost daily, so we've not covered events since the change of Prime Minister, but regardless, the message from us remains the same as always: don't panic!

Raising Funds for Worthy Causes

On Wednesday 7th September Jackie Taylor, who is a long standing member of our Admin team, Braved the Shave and had her hair shaved off to raise money for a charity that's close to her heart: LOROS. To date Jackie has smashed her £250 target and has raised over £2,000! If you'd like to support Jackie you still can by donating through her JustGiving page here.

On Sunday 2nd October both Jordan Wong and Rebecca Abraham took part in the London Marathon, an amazing feat and one we're all proud of them for completing. You can learn more about Jordan's journey in a video we recorded with him in August here.

Congratulations to Sam Harrington who recently progressed into the role of Trainee Financial Planner. Sam started with us as an Administrator and has dedicated himself to study and growth during his time with us. We're proud of how far he's come and we know that with all of the experience he brings to the role he'll make a fantastic Financial Planner.

A big warm CH welcome to Rachel and Aneesa who have joined our Administration team and Lauren and Mehreen who have joined our Accounting team.
