You may recall that we wrote to you in August last year to inform you that Chesterton House Ltd had acquired the whole of the issued share capital of Woodgate Financial Planning Ltd (WFP). Since then, we have thoroughly reviewed our systems with the aim of enhancing the service we offer to our clients. As part of this process, we have also reviewed each client individually to ensure they are receiving the best value from our service and the associated fees.
After careful consideration of your current financial circumstances and the type of advice you require, we believe that our ongoing service may no longer provide the best value for you. Therefore, we are writing to inform you of our decision to terminate our Financial Planning Service Agreement.
As per our Terms of Business, please consider this letter as our 28 days’ notice from the date of this letter for the termination of our agreement. We will cease any ongoing fees payable to us under the Agreement. Any fees owed to Woodgate Financial Planning Ltd up until the date of disengagement will be collected from your investment/platform. Should you be owed any fees by us, we will aim to reimburse you within 30 days of the termination date.
While our ongoing service will cease, we would be more than happy to provide you with advice in the future upon request, subject to our Terms of Business and Fee Schedule at that time. We believe that this approach will be more cost-effective for you.
If you decide to work with another Financial Planning firm, we will assist in ensuring a smooth transition. The responsibility for this will primarily lie with your new adviser, who will need to initiate and arrange any transfer.
Please be aware that your file will be securely retained on our back-office system for the duration required by our regulator, as outlined in our Privacy Notice, your information will be securely deleted to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you at any time.
We want to express our sincere gratitude for the trust you’ve placed in us as your Financial Planner. While we believe this decision is the right course of action at this time, we remain committed to supporting you in any way we can.
